Canton
Beach, Soldiers Beach, Norah Head lighthouse
- built in 1903 is to be considered one of our
major coastal lights in NSW, the beam can be
seen 28km out to sea.
Cabbage Tree Harbor, Wyrrabalong National Park
and Noraville House.
Another spot for a picnic is Osborne Park in
Peel St which has a playground and boat ramp
on the shore of Budgewoi Lake. Toukley Golf
Course lies just up the road.
Noraville House at the eastern end of Toukley,
by the ocean shore, is the area known as Noraville
which was named after Noraville House, built
by Edward Hargraves, the prospector who, in
1851, discovered the first payable gold in Australia.

Canton
Beach is a wonderful spot for the families,
providing good picnic and play areas. Safe lake
swimming with wonderful green space all around
to relax or throw a ball with the kids.
Soldiers
Beach at Norah Head offers the surfing
enthusiast great waves and board riding while
providing a fantastic view.
Walking
Trails:
Bush
Street Reserve is a peaceful and relaxing
spot. Bush Street Reserve picnic area has large
trees and picnic tables. The feature of Bush
Street is the wonderful headland walking trail
built by Norah Head Coast Care, the trail takes
about 10 minutes.
Wyrrabalong
National Park is situated on Wilfred
Barrett Drive between The Entrance and Toukley.
Wyrrabalong National Park encompasses 480ha
of the sand barrier that separates Tuggerah
Lake from the Pacific Ocean conserves the last
significant littoral rainforest on the Central
Coast. You can go bush walking and observe wildlife
and Red Gum Forest.
Red
Gum Forest walk along the 2.3km Red
Gum trail returning via the 1.3km Burrawang
Track, this circuit follows a network
of old mining exploration trails leading onto
the rim to the main sand dune where viewing
platforms are offered.
Lakes
Beach is one of the most popular surfing
beaches on the Central Coast and is located
on Budgewoi Road, Noraville. Lakes Beach is
a patrolled beach and boast excellent surfing
and board riding.
